Studio Channel Islands Appoints Michael Lattanzio as CEO
Studio Channel Islands announces Michael Lattanzio as Chief Executive Officer for the non-profit organization seeking to be the preeminent art institute in Ventura County and the region.
According to officials, Lattanzio is a compelling and innovative executive who has held leadership roles with top caliber companies such as NBC Universal, Westfield, Sun Capital/Osaka Management, as well as his own business consulting firm, Lattanzio Affiliated, Inc., which he founded in 2010.
“Michael is an experienced leader with a history of successfully managing companies and driving results,” stated Maggie Kildee, President and Co-Founder of Studio Channel Islands. “His passion for business along with his keen understanding of Studio Channel Islands’ core values will allow us to evolve our organization into the best of class art complexes in our industry,” she continued. “We look forward to working with Michael and are confident that his leadership will be an integral part of our continued growth and success,” she added.
As Chief Executive Officer, Lattanzio will oversee the strategic vision, day-to-day operations, and the future development of the organization that serves to promote and preserve the visual arts in the community by providing unique and diverse artistic encounters for all ages, and incredible opportunities for artists.
“I look forward to working with an energetic and seasoned Board of Directors, the Artists-in-Residence, member artists, and all entities or partners of Studio Channel Islands, stated Lattanzio. “I plan to build on past successes and lead this unique and extraordinary organization to new heights,” he continued. “This amazing art center has been the best kept secret for 17 years, and now it’s time to let people know who and what we are all about here in Camarillo, Ventura County, and regionally throughout our great state of California,” he added.
Studio Channel Islands continues to make a name for itself in the local market since its inception in 1998 showcasing a diverse range of art forms, styles, and techniques. Today it features a campus with art studios, workshops, events, art education for adults & kids, exhibits, an art gallery, and a place for the community to come together and appreciate creativity and imagination.
“We will continue to deliver at the highest level, build brand awareness, establish new partnerships, recognize our in-house artists and engage new talent, while also developing our outreach and funding programs,” stated Lattanzio. “We will also entice donor and charitable contributions, develop and expand existing programs, as well as introduce new offerings that will intrigue interest and visitation,” continued Lattanzio. “In essence, we will create an experience where people of all walks of life can momentarily step away from reality to learn, create, relax, and enjoy art in its many forms,” he added.

About Studio Channel Islands
Studio Channel Islands is a non-profit organization that provides the community with a cultural hub for working artists with over 40 studios, first-class art exhibitions of both local as well as national artists featured in galleries, Meet-the-Artist programs, docent tours, symposiums, and workshops for all ages. Studio Channel Islands was created by a visionary group of local artists in 1998 concurrent with the establishment of California State University Channel Islands and was originally located on the developing campus. In 2010 the campus was moved to Old Town Camarillo where it is centrally located in the heart of the city. The campus features live working studios operated by in-house artists, a Blackboard Gallery, workshops, seasonal events, a gift shop, rental facilities for community events, and much more.
