This year's beauty trend has brought back the vibrant 90s and its sultry mermaid looks. When I think of 90s beauty, I think supermodels like Eva Evangelista, Claudia Shiffer and Naomi Campbell, all women served as muse to fashion designers and makeup artists alike. A trend started.     Hi Jane Doe, thank you for your feedback ! No one will ever compare to the original Trinity (Linda, Christy, Naomi) and I am by no means comparing Kylie to legends, fret not! However, what's current in fashion for the past year and half is 90s fashion. Beauty and fashion walk hand in hand and this article highlighted Kylie's contribution to the revival of 90s makeup trends. You don't need her bank account to achieve that pout, a lip liner will do all the trick :)

    Is it me or have I missed something? How in the world did Kylie Jenner become synonymous with the likes of Eva Evangelista, Claudia Shiffer and Naomi Campbell? The aforementioned supermodels were not only natural beauties, they were the envy of the "everyday woman" while also helping so many of us feel more confident with embracing our own natural beauty. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about Kylie or the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner crew. As someone trying to raise daughters with a healthy self-esteem, I look for role models that understand true beauty is defined by who you are from the inside out and not the other way around. Kylie was beautiful BEFORE any alterations were done to her appearance, but sadly she didn't have the confidence to embrace that as evidenced by her new "pillowy" look. Perhaps the time has come for fashion to re-evaluate what real beauty looks like if you don't have unlimited finances or your name doesn't end in Kardashian-Jenner.
