Spring 2018 Journalist Internship for Food & Wine
Society 805 is looking for a Journalist Intern for our Food & Wine section. This section features articles written about wineries, restaurants, restaurant chefs, food trends, culinary events, dining experiences, creating top lists, etc…
The Food & Wine internship is a great opportunity to explore the 805’s culinary roots and report on local restaurants, events, and chefs. The successful candidate should have some prior publishing experience, strong writing, the ability to generate fresh story ideas, and of course, a passion for food & wine! Unfortunately due to the nature of this section you must be at least 21 years old. NO EXCEPTION.
Responsibilites
-Write quality articles (minimum 2 per week/750+ words)
-Discuss article concepts with editor on a weekly basis.
-Research and post on food trends
You need to be smart, creative, self-motivated, professional, and have a passion for researching and writing. You should be familiar with Microsoft Word’s tracking changes function. This is a 3 months internship commitment.
Requirements
-Access to a computer/internet
-Be available 1 to 2 days a week x 4 hours (11am-2pm)
-Journalist/Media major or minor
There is a small stipend at the end of the internship
