Here is a list of restaurants in the 805 that are offering Thanksgiving menus, a perfect opportunity to get out of the kitchen this year.
The Bear and Star, Los Olivos’ newest restaurant celebrates the Thanksgiving Holiday with a menu created by Chef John Cox and his team. The Bear and Star has quickly been embraced by food lovers for the restaurant’s inspired, refined ranch cuisine.
 
Chef Cox presents a bountiful Thanksgiving Dinner with buffet stations staged in the Star Room, Maggie’s Room and Chef’s Table Rooms – situated throughout the restaurant. Start off at the Carving Station with a full plate of Oak-Smoked Natural Turkey Breast with Traditional Gravy and Cranberry Sauce; Turkey Leg Roulade; and House-Cured Ham. The Hot Buffet serves ample sides of Crispy Brussel Sprouts with Pomegranate and Bacon; Candied Yams with Maple Glaze; Traditional Mashed Potatoes; Corn Bread Stuffing; Fall Spiced Spaghetti Squash; and Parker House Rolls with Jam and Soft Butter. The Cold Buffet features Arugula Salad with Parmesan, Garlic Croutons, Lemon Dressing & Oven Dried Tomatoes; Roasted Parker Ranch Beets with Goat Cheese, Thyme Dressing & Crispy Shallots; Black Kale Salad with Wild Rice and Pickled Vegetables; and Cambridge House-Smoked Salmon with Capers, Sweet Onion, Scallion Crème & Rye Sourdough. Complete the holiday dinner celebration with a visit or two to The Bear and Star Pie Bar filled with holiday classics of Chess Pie; Pumpkin Pie; & Pecan Pie.
 
Pricing is $55 per adult, $20 for children 12 and under, excludes tax and gratuity.
 
Thanksgiving Holiday hours at The Bear and Star begin with morning breakfast from 7:00-10:00 a.m.; followed by the Thanksgiving Holiday Dinner from 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The public can enjoy cocktails and libations at The Bear and Star Bar from 11:30 a.m. – closing.
