Pacific Pride Foundation (PPF) and Merryl Brown Events hosted the second annual Royal Ball, on April 13th, 2013 at the Bacara Resort and Spa.

 Myron Freedman has been named the new Executive Director of the Museum of Ventura County. Freedman assumed his new duties Monday 8 April and will be directing both the downtown Ventura location near Main and Ventura Avenue and the Agricultural Museum in Santa Paula.  Freedman joins the museum from the Hayward Area Historical Society, where he served as Executive Director since 2008.

As Americans, we have the idea that we need to get our money's worth for just about everything. I am definitely guilty of it, especially when it comes to food. The problem with our nation's idea of "get your money's worth" is that people interpret it as "lots of food to eat for cheap." But what if we had a new interpretation of that phrase?
